Project Objectives<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n
  • To produce 1:2000-scale topographic maps using available aerial imagery to identify and evaluate the most suitable locations for the development of irrigation and drainage infrastructure.<\/li>\n
  • To establish an integrated geospatial database for technical, economic, and environmental analyses.<\/li>\n
  • To facilitate the optimal design of irrigation systems through the high-accuracy topographic datasets and Digital Elevation Models (DEMs).

    Scope of Consultancy Services<\/strong><\/p>\n

      \n
    • Production of topographic maps required for the feasibility studies and engineering design of large-scale irrigation development projects in the Mount Elgon, Rwenzori, Agoro Hes, and the southwestern highlands of Uganda.<\/li>\n
    • Pre-processing of available aerial imagery and generation of high-accuracy three-dimensional terrain models based on precise exterior orientation parameters.<\/li>\n
    • Preparation of engineering topographic maps to support the design of irrigation canals, pumping stations, regulating reservoirs and dams, and associated hydraulic structures.<\/li>\n
    • Development of Digital Elevation Model (DEMs), slope maps, and aspect maps for hydrological studies, terrain analysis, and water transfer system design.<\/li>\n
    • Preparation and delivery of base maps in GIS and CAD-compatible formats.
