As part of its commitment to expanding international operations and strengthening long-term partnerships, Mahab Ghodss Consulting Engineering Company<\/strong> conducted a high-level business mission to Sri Lanka<\/strong> in May 2026<\/strong>.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The delegation, led by Ali Nourzad<\/strong>, Chief Executive Officer of Mahab Ghodss, included senior executives and technical managers. During the visit, the delegation held a series of strategic meetings with the Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation<\/strong>, the Chief Executive Officer and Board Members of Senura<\/strong>, and the Chairman and Senior Executives of CECB<\/strong>, focusing on the progress of ongoing projects and new opportunities for technical cooperation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Reviewing Progress of the Wee Oya Multipurpose Development Project<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

A key objective of the mission was to review the implementation status of the Wee Oya Multipurpose Development Project<\/strong>, one of Mahab Ghodss’ strategic international infrastructure projects in Sri Lanka.
During meetings with officials of the Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation, both parties reaffirmed the strategic importance of the project and reviewed the latest progress in procurement activities, equipment delivery, contractual commitments, and implementation schedules. Discussions also focused on preparations for the transition of the project into its execution phase.
In a separate meeting with the Project Director and implementation team, Ali Nourzad<\/strong> reiterated Mahab Ghodss’ commitment to fulfilling its contractual obligations and outlined the Company’s implementation plan for the timely delivery of project components and continued project execution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Creating New Opportunities for International Cooperation<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The business mission also included discussions on the relocation of Mahab Ghodss’ equipment and operational assets from the Uma Oya Multipurpose Development Project<\/strong> to the site designated for the Wee Oya Project<\/strong>, ensuring efficient utilization of existing resources and supporting the project’s implementation schedule.
In addition, Mahab Ghodss and CECB<\/strong> explored opportunities for strategic collaboration on a forthcoming large-scale infrastructure project, including the possibility of participating jointly in future international tenders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Strengthening Long-Term Partnerships<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The meetings concluded with both parties expressing their satisfaction with the progress of ongoing cooperation and reaffirming their commitment to expanding technical collaboration in future infrastructure initiatives.
