Water and Wastewater Sector

The Water and Wastewater Department, with over Four decades of experience, has so far completed the study, design, and supervision of more than 450 successful projects. This department provides comprehensive and specialized solutions in the water and wastewater sector, offering services ranging from feasibility studies and master planning to design, preparation of detailed drawing, upgrading, project management, and construction supervision. The department aims to ensure the implementation of projects based on the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and safety.

The projects’ components completed by this department to date are as follows:

  • Water Conveyance Lines and Distribution Networks: Design and supervision of over 7,800 km of water conveyance lines and 20,000 km of water distribution networks.
  • Wastewater Collection Networks and Surface Water Drainage Systems: Design and construction supervision of over 31,000 km of wastewater collection networks and drainage systems.
  • Water and Wastewater Treatment and Desalination Plants: Design and Construction supervision of over 40 treatment plants, providing safe and reliable water solutions for millions of people.
  • Ground and Elevated Water Storage Tanks: Design and construction supervision of over 400 water tanks while optimizing water storage and distribution.
  • Pumping and Lift Stations: Design and construction supervision of over 100 pumping stations, ensuring effective water flow and system performance.
  • Infrastructure Development: Execution of all civil works, including access and service roads, residential and administrative buildings, and all related supporting structures.
  • Telemetry, Instrumentation, and Remote Control Systems: Advanced instrumentation and remote control systems for real-time system monitoring and management, and ensuring operational efficiency and safety.
