Ali Nourzad, CEO of Mahab Ghodss Consulting Engineering Company, accompanied by his delegation, visited Oman on April 27–28. During this trip, in addition to meeting with the clients of the new Barka project, they also met with the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Muscat. Strengthening communication, consolidating relations with business partners, and expanding cooperation in other areas were among the most important topics discussed during these meetings.

Meeting and Discussion Between Mahab Ghodss CEO and the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran

A face-to-face meeting between the CEO of Mahab Ghodss and his accompanying delegation with the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran was held on Monday, April 27, 2026, starting at 15:30 at the Embassy in Muscat. Dr. Ali Nourzad, CEO; Mr. Ahmad Pashootan Dezfuli, Deputy of Water, Wastewater, and Fluid Transmission Lines; and Mr. Malekpour, Senior Project Manager for Oman, were in attendance. At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Farhang, the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Oman, while welcoming the Mahab Ghodss colleagues, described the presence of this Iranian consulting engineering firm in the country as a source of pride for the Islamic Republic of Iran and called for closer engagement between Mahab Ghodss and the Iranian Embassy. Furthermore, by noting that his familiarity with the achievements of Mahab Ghodss dates back to the early years of the Revolution, he commended the company’s contribution to the nation’s development.

Dr. Nourzad, while expressing his appreciation to the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Oman for the meeting and his positive outlook, stated that Mahab Ghodss’s policy in Oman is to strengthen its relationship with the Embassy and benefit from its support in expanding the company’s market presence in the country. A report on completed projects as well as those currently under implementation was also presented during the meeting.
In another part of the session, Mr. Dezfuli provided explanations regarding the Barka project, which has recently been awarded to the company. The Ambassador likewise expressed his satisfaction with the number of projects and the overall value of the contracts.

Meeting Between the CEO of Mahab Ghodss and the CEO of Al Abraj Company

As part of the meetings held by the CEO of Mahab Ghodss and his accompanying delegation in Oman, a meeting was held on the same day with the CEO of Al Abraj Company, a partner in the Barka project. Ali Nourzad, CEO of Mahab Ghodss, and Ahmad Dezfuli, Deputy for Water, Wastewater, and Fluid Transmission Lines, met and held discussions with Yaseen Jafar, CEO of Al Abraj Company.
During the meeting, the parties expressed their satisfaction with the awarding of the Barka project in the previous week and emphasized the expansion and strengthening of bilateral relations as business partners in Oman, as well as the development of the market. Yaseen Jafar described cooperation with Mahab Ghodss as a valuable opportunity to secure new projects in Oman and also expressed readiness for joint cooperation in the water sector within African markets.

Holding the First Meeting of the Barka Project in Oman with the Presence of the CEO of Mahab Ghodss

The first meeting of the Barka Project was held on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, in the conference hall of Nama Company (Oman Water and Wastewater Company). The meeting was attended by the CEO of Mahab Ghodss and his accompanying delegation, the CEO of Al Abraj Company (Mahab’s business partner in this project), and representatives of the project’s client, Nama.

Ali Nourzad expressed his appreciation for the client’s trust in awarding the new project—Mahab Ghodss’s third project with Nama—and emphasized the importance of delivering high-quality services and adhering to the project schedule in order to maintain and further enhance the client’s satisfaction.
Ahmad Dezfuli, Deputy for Water, Wastewater, and Fluid Transmission Lines at Mahab Ghodss, also explained that the company intends to expand its business activities in Oman and plans to recruit the necessary local workforce while permanently stationing key Iranian members of the project team in Oman.

Following this, a project report was presented by the Mahab Ghodss team, and several related technical questions were addressed. At the conclusion of the meeting, the client’s representatives expressed their interest in expanding cooperation with Mahab Ghodss in other areas and stated that Nama Company is ready for broader collaboration with Mahab Ghodss.
