The specialized training workshop on “Artificial Intelligence (AI) Applications in Dam Engineering” was held in July 6, 2026 for managers and experts of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Water Resources of the Sultanate of Oman. The event was conducted by Mahab Ghodss Consulting Engineering Company at the client’s premises (Muscat, Oman). The objective of this event was to introduce the capabilities of artificial intelligence in the water and infrastructure industry and to develop technical cooperation between the two parties. The workshop covered specialized AI applications in dam engineering, stability monitoring, and digital transformation in organizations.
Emphasis on Expanding Iran-Oman Cooperation
The workshop commenced with a welcome address by Yousuf Al-Mandhari, Director of the Dams Department at the Oman Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Water Resources. Highlighting the long-standing and friendly relations between Iran and Oman, he emphasized the development of technical cooperation with Iranian companies, particularly Mahab Ghodss Consulting Engineering Company, and expressed hope that the company’s capabilities would be utilized in other ministry projects.
Subsequently, Ali Nourzad, CEO of Mahab Ghodss, while welcoming the participants, underscored the importance of this event in expanding joint cooperation and expressed hope that interactions between the two sides would continue to grow in specialized fields.

In the next section of the program, the company’s Deputy of Marketing and Investment introduced the technical capabilities and track record of the company in various engineering and consulting fields. Following this, the Deputy of Strategic Planning presented topics on the necessity of organizational digitalization, describing Mahab Ghodss’s initiatives in digital transformation and the development of AI-based solutions.

Thereafter, the Advisor to the CEO in the field of Artificial Intelligence explained the principles, concepts, and development outlook of this technology. He also introduced the capabilities of the Mahab Ghodss Smart Assistant, the development process of this system, and the actions taken for its implementation, and addressed participants’ questions.
Presentation of AI Applications in Dam Engineering
The CEO of Mahab Ghodss presented, in two specialized sessions, the applications of artificial intelligence in dam engineering and structural stability monitoring. By presenting case studies from the Azad and Sardasht dams, he practically demonstrated the capabilities of AI in the analysis, monitoring, and safety management of dams.
Omani Ministry’s Welcome to Cooperation with Mahab Ghodss
At the end of the workshop, Al-Mandhari declared the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Water Resources’ interest in cooperating with Mahab Ghodss. The workshop concluded with closing remarks by the CEO of Mahab Ghodss, followed by the presentation of certificates of attendance to the participants.
